Algorithme Pharma began operations with a small team of researchers from the pharmacology department of Université de Montréal. The organization specializes in contractual research for the international pharmaceutical industry, and is one of the world’s leading clinical research and biopharmaceutical analysis organizations.

Algorithme Pharma: 25 years of experience and passion

Carrying on the work of his father—a distinguished research scientist—current Non-Executive Chairman Louis Caillé created Algorithme Pharma in 1992. He partnered with Marc Lefebvre, doctor in pharmacology, in 1995. Mr. Lefebvre is currently Vice-President and head of scientific affairs. In 1999, the two partners entered the US market and signed their first contract. The organization’s efforts paid off in March 2001 when obtaining its first inspection from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)—its first foray into the international market.

After more than 10 years, Algorithme Pharma conducts over 200 studies annually with the participation of 7,000 volunteers. Its customers are based mainly in Canada, the US and Europe.

The professionalism and outstanding quality of its services have enabled Algorithme Pharma to earn an enviable reputation in the scientific research and business world.

Today, Algorithme Pharma employs close to 500 professionals from the medical and scientific fields who work together to achieve a common goal: to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical science.

Algorithme Pharma is an active member of the community. In addition to donating sophisticated medical equipment to Sainte-Justine Hospital, it supports causes such as the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Algorithme Pharma is an employer member of the AIM CROIT-IAM CARES program, which provides job opportunities to people with physical or sensory disabilities.
