Algorithme Pharma Announces Appointment of Dr. Fabio Garofolo As VP, Bioanalytical Services

MONTREAL, QC – October 20, 2005 - Algorithme Pharma today announced the appointment of Dr. Fabio Garofolo as Vice-President, Bioanalytical Services, at the Company’s soon to be expanded Laval facility.

Dr. Garofolo joins Algorithme Pharma from Vicuron Pharmaceuticals Inc., where he most recently served as head of the Bioanalysis and PK Department. The official Liquid Chromatography – Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) instructor for the Calibration and Validation Group in Canada, Dr Garofolo brings with him 16 years of experience in Method Development, along with extensive managerial and technical experience in Canadian biopharmaceutical laboratories and departments.

In addition, Dr. Garofolo has also served as Technical Manager, Eli Lilly Canada and as Laboratory Director in two key positions: Method Development Group, Biovail Contract Research Canada and in the R&D department, Analytical Laboratory, Italian Air Force, Italy.
